first_imgIKEA IS RECALLING a range of bed canopies for children over concerns that they could strangle infants.The company says that there has not been any permanent injuries reported from the canopies but they have received reports of the net being pulled into cots or beds and then becoming entangled around infants’ necks.Customers who bought the canopies are being asked to bring them back to any IKEA store for a refund.The affected products have been sold in all IKEA markets since 1996 and include a range of brands including the Legendarisk, Minnen and Barnslig.In December of last year, IKEA issued a similar warning to parents who purchased a SMILA wall mounted lamp that the product may present a strangulation hazard to infants and young children after the death of a young child.Read: IKEA is selling solar panels, yay!
